Website Maintenance Services in Philadelphia
A website is not finished on launch day. Software needs updates, backups need to run, forms stop sending, and hours and prices change. Our monthly website maintenance plan keeps your site secure, online, and current, so a problem gets fixed before your customers notice it.
StarFire Labs is based in Philadelphia, and we look after sites for businesses and organizations across the city, from Old City and Queen Village to West Philly and the Northeast. We maintain sites we built, and we take over sites built by someone else.
Who it's for
- Business owners who don't have a developer on staff and don't want to become one.
- Organizations whose original web designer has moved on or stopped answering.
- Sites that take bookings, payments, or registrations, where downtime costs money.
- Anyone who has put off a list of small fixes because there's nobody to send it to.
What's included
Every plan is billed monthly and covers:
- Software updates: We keep your site's platform, plugins, and libraries up to date, and test after each update so nothing breaks quietly.
- Backups: Regular backups of your files and database, stored off the server, with a restore when you need one.
- Uptime monitoring: We're alerted when your site goes down, and we start working on it without waiting for you to call.
- Security checks: We watch for known vulnerabilities, expired SSL certificates, and signs of tampering.
- Small changes: A monthly block of time for edits such as new photos, updated hours, a new staff bio, or a text change.
- Bug fixes and support: When a form, page, or integration stops working, you have a direct line to the people who fix it.
Our process
- Site review: We look at how your site is built, where it's hosted, and what condition it's in, then tell you plainly what we find.
- Onboarding: We collect access to hosting and your domain, take a full backup, and set up monitoring.
- Catch-up: We apply overdue updates and fix urgent problems found in the review.
- Ongoing care: Updates, backups, and monitoring run on a schedule. You send change requests by email whenever they come up.
Timeline
The site review comes first, and it happens before you commit to a plan. Once you sign up, onboarding and the first full backup are the first things we do, and routine care runs every month after that. Larger pieces of work, such as a redesign or a new feature, are outside the plan. We quote those separately and schedule them like any other project.
Pricing
Starting at $69 per month
The monthly price depends on the size of your site, what it's built on, and how much change time you want each month. Sites that process payments or hold member accounts need closer attention than a five-page brochure site, and the plan reflects that. We confirm the price after the site review.

A PHP and MySQL portal with member accounts, ticketing, and payment webhooks. Sites with this many moving parts are the ones that most need regular care.
Frequently asked questions
How much does website maintenance cost?
Our maintenance plans start at $69 per month. The price goes up with the size and complexity of the site and the amount of monthly change time you want.
Will you maintain a website you didn't build?
Yes. We start with a site review to see how it's built and what shape it's in. If we find something that makes the site unsafe to maintain as it stands, we tell you before you sign up.
What counts as a small change?
Edits to existing pages: swapping photos, changing text, updating hours or prices, adding a team member or an event. New page designs, new features, and redesigns are separate projects with their own quote.
What happens if my site goes down or gets hacked?
Monitoring alerts us when the site is unreachable, and we begin work on it. If the site has been compromised, we restore it from a clean backup and close the hole that was used.
Do I really need a maintenance plan?
If your site is a few static pages that never change, perhaps not. If it runs on software that gets security updates, or it takes bookings, payments, or sign-ups, skipped maintenance is the most common reason sites break or get compromised.
Can you modernize an old website instead of rebuilding it?
Often, yes. Legacy modernization is part of what we do. After the site review we tell you whether updating the existing site or rebuilding it will cost you less over time.
